JANE (Journal Author Name Estimator) – Paste your abstract in the text box, and it tells you which journal is the best fit for your paper. Microsoft Academic Search – Actually surprisingly worthwhile, with some very cool visualisation features: you can view Academic Maps, look at co-author graphs, look at subject-trends over time, and it’ll even calculate your Erdős number for you.
